I provide individual and family counseling in my office in Menlo Park. I also offer ‘teletherapy’ sessions, in which we can meet via video-chat using a HIPAA-compliant video software, which allows you to meet with me from the comfort and convenience of your home or office. This option would be something that we would explore after meeting for an initial in-person session.
I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with disordered eating and body image concerns, and also enjoy working with clients who are struggling with other mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, relationship issues, grief, and others.
My clinical work is largely rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused and strengths-based approaches. I am currently being trained under world-renowned Cognitive Behavioral Therapist David Burns, MD at Stanford University, author of Feeling Good and creator of the TEAM approach to CBT. CBT is an extremely effective treatment in which we identify our negative thought patterns that impact how we feel and what we do. When we can change or 'reframe' our thought patterns, we can feel more joy, calm, hope, humor and gratitude. This process can be transformative in how we experience our lives, our relationships, and our sense of self. I love CBT because it puts healing in your hands, and helps you to be in charge of the change you want to see in your life.
Our work together will start with a full psychosocial assessment, in which I get to hear from you about your strengths, concerns, and goals for treatment. We will then work together to create a treatment plan with goals that meet your needs and fit into your life.
I encourage you to take this courageous step, and reach out to for a free 20-minute consultation.
I look forward to working with you!
